Yora + Slack, AI that reads your threads and answers "where did we land on X?"

The short answer

The Yora Slack integration uses Slack OAuth to let Yora search channels and DMs, summarize threads, and send messages on your behalf, with confirmation, so you stop re-reading threads to remember what was decided.

What it does

Thread search. "Where did we land on the caching PR?" Yora finds the thread and gives you the two-sentence answer.

Channel summaries. "Summarize #product since yesterday." Yora reads overnight activity and surfaces what matters.

Send messages. "DM Maria: need her review on the auth spec by tomorrow." Yora drafts, you confirm, Yora sends.

Mentions surveillance. Yora can tell you who mentioned you while you were away.

Team pulse. Morning Pulse can include a one-line read of your most important channels.

How to connect

1. Open Yora → Integrations → Slack → Connect 2. Authorize the Yora app for your workspace 3. Choose which channels Yora can read (public by default; private requires per-channel consent)

Data and privacy

Storage. OAuth tokens encrypted in Supabase (EU region), row-level-secured.
Scope. Read messages in authorized channels; send messages with your confirmation.
Cache. Recent messages cached ~30 minutes for speed.
Deletion. Disconnect → tokens and cache cleared within 24 hours.

Troubleshooting

Private channels missing. Invite the Yora bot into each private channel you want Yora to read. Search empty. Force a fresh sync from settings. Workspace admin restrictions. If your admin blocks third-party apps, Yora cannot connect without approval.
